I hold a degree in psychology from the University of Bergen and I am a specialist in clinical child and adolescent psychology. I currently work as a special advisor and team leader at the RKBU Vest (Regional Centre for Child and Youth Mental Health and Child Welfare). Additionally, I serve as a therapist in specialized healthcare services for children and adolescents (BUP). I also have experience in the BUP field as an outpatient clinic leader and head of the outpatient department at PBU (Haukeland University Hospital). Previously, I have worked as a senior advisor in the Educational Psychology Service (PPT), as well as an associate lecturer at the University of Bergen (UIB) where I supervised students in clinical practice.
At RKBU Vest, I lead the team "Mental Health in Schools and Kindergartens." This team consists of both researchers and advisors. Our group focuses on the implementation, research, and evaluation of comprehensive interventions such as The Incredible Years, Invest in Play, Anti-Bullying Work (including the Olweus Program), and the research project "Stop Sexual Harassment."
For several years, I have worked with parent training and implementation as my area of interest. Accordingly, I am a Trainer in the parent program Invest in Play and as a Mentor in The Incredible Years. For these programs, I am part of the national leadership team for implementation. Additionally, I serve as a board member of the International Forum for Implementation and Research on Evidence-Based Interventions for Children.
